A Little Recap of the 2012 EANT Conference in Reston, VA | Washington DC Area

Thank you to all attendees, presenters, organizers, board members and volunteers of the 2012 EANT OPENING TO JOY Conference! The event featured keynote TARA BRACH, author of RADICAL ACCEPTANCE, Helen Palmer, David Daniels, M.D., Terry Saracino, Marion Gilbert, Renee Rosario, Gerry Fathauer, Pamela Michaelis, Sharon Rudy, Fred Boykin, Joan Ryan and much more.

Last year's theme of OPENING TO JOY was a compelling subject to explore that included type-expression to music danced by middle-school children, the introduction to the Enneagram of Harmony to complement our well studied Enneagram of Process, a look at the felt-sense embodiment of JOY as well those ways in which we block our experience of this fundamental life-giving emotion. WIth nearly 110 in attendance, the event was held at the Hyatt Hotel in Reston, VIrginia and was yet again an incredible way to reunite our beloved community as well as learn from our association's founders and narrative tradition thought-leaders.

"AETNT" Became EANT, January 2010
Our new name is now over a year into being. The Association of Enneagram Teachers in the Narrative Tradition is now officially: Enneagram Association in the Narrative Traditon, or EANT.

EANT (formely AET or AETNT) is an international association for individuals who have a keen interest in the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition and who may use its study for business, educational, therapeutic, personal growth, self-awareness, and/or spiritual development.

We welcome you to join the EANT community as an Associate member after attending the first week of the Enneagram Intensive, the core program of the Enneagram Professional Training Program (EPTP), under the umbrella of Enneagram Studies in the Narrative Tradition, the new non-profit entity headed up by none other than Terry Saracino. This educational training program was founded by Helen Palmer and David Daniels, M.D. in 1988. It is a training based insightfully on what's called "The Narrative Tradition," the practice of facilitating "type" to speak and share its inner experience of itself, for itself. You may also join as a Certified member after completion of EPTP's four-part teacher certification process. And as of January 2012, you can join as a General member, after having completed 20–25 hours of training in the Narrative Tradition.
