Opening to the transformative power of joy is something we all long to do more often, and I believe this opening only is possible when we deeply accept ourselves and others.
Our community and our work create the possibility both for great acceptance and for joy, and what better place to further explore these than in the joyfulness of our annual gathering, with inspiration from our teachers, each other, and the wisdom of our keynote speaker, renowned Buddhist teacher, Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance.
I am delighted to invite you to join in Opening to Joy and expanding our experience of the Enneagram at this October's EANT conference with our inspirational teachers – Helen, David, Terry, and Marion, with our wonderful community, and with special guest Tara Brach.
I've attended Sanghas and workshops with Tara over the years and found the experiences to be powerful and amazing, transmuting in that way that happens when one is in the presence of a great teacher. Tara truly embodies radical acceptance, and there is much we can learn from her in her keynote on the "Three Gateways to Peace and Freedom."
What a gift it is to have returning again this year, Conference Chair Sandra Smith, the Planning Circle, and so many of our community working towards delivering this exceptional conference for us! I couldn't be more thrilled that we're coming together this fall at the beautiful Hyatt Reston in the something-for-everyone Virginia suburbs of DC, just a month before our national elections, joining our community and our work with Tara's, and exploring joy, which feels like a real opportunity to cultivate positivity not only for ourselves and our community but for the larger communities of the nation and our world.
I love being with you when we gather each year, and my hope is that you will all take this opportunity to come to your conference to share in a joyful, fun, meaningful time together.
Can't wait to see you all!
